Let’s cut to the chase. You need online presence. Or, more specifically, you need a website. Never fear, I’ve got the solution for your right here!
What’s included in the Author Website package? A website, of course 🙂 Sassing aside, here’s what you’ll get:
One (1) original design (look and feel) with three sets of revisions
Original, customized to fit your author brand. I will provide you with a landing page and a blog/inside page preview of your custom website before encoding (learn more about my process here). I try as much as possible to get what you want through an intensive pre-production, but if not, the design mock-up comes with three sets of revisions.
Simple text logo
The logo included in this package will be a play of fonts and colors that will fit your website’s overall look and feel. If you want the whole branding shebang (with logo design options and branding collateral), check out my Complete Author Brand package.
Responsive layout
Your website will look good not only on high resolution screens, but also small screen laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Custom landing/splash page
This is the first thing your readers will see when they visit your website, so it has to be cool. No worries, I got you covered! Your Author Website package includes a static landing page. No fancy animations, but I’ll make sure it looks awesome nonetheless.
WordPress integration
To make it easier for you to update, I’ll port your custom Author Website to WordPress. If you aren’t familiar with WordPress, never fear! There’s a knowledge base where you can read everything you need to know to start using your WordPress-powered website.
Books Module
Aside from the standard WordPress features, I’ll include a custom module I’ve created. It will allow you to add new books with covers and details without needing to mess with code. This fully featured module will also allow you to categorize your books.
Contact Form 7 integration and customization
For your Contact page, I’ll design and integrate the Contact Form 7 plugin so your readers can easily send you messages via a form. Of course, the form’s design will match your website’s overall look and feel.
AddThis implementation
If you want your posts and pages be easily shared on social media, I highly recommend AddThis. Sign up for an account and I can integrate its plugin for you on your sparkling-new website.
MailChimp mailing list sign-up form
A mailing list is a great way to stay connected with your readers. I highly recommend MailChimp, so most (if not all) of the author websites I’ve made have a mailing list sign-up form on their website. If you have an account (if you don’t, you can sign up for one—it’s free for folks who have less than 2,000 subscribers), I can customize the sign-up form for you in a way that it blends in with your custom web design.
Matching Twitter Profile header and Facebook Page cover
Of course. Your Twitter and Facebook accounts need to match your new website design for consistent branding, so I’ll create one for you.
